The HP AirProtect Wireless Security Series wireless intrusion prevention systems help protect the network, users, and confidential data from unauthorized wireless access, potential hackers, and other vulnerabilities caused by unsecure deployment of wireless or rogue APs. These WLAN security products go beyond traditional firewalls to monitor wireless traffic by continuously scanning the airwaves to provide denial-of-service (DoS) wireless intrusion protection. The HP AirProtect Sentry 5850 helps protect SMB and branch offices by scanning and preventing up to five simultaneous attacks. The HP AirProtect Sensor 5750 and AirProtect SS-300 work with the Engine 6100 to help protect enterprise networks and provide simultaneous scanning of 62 channels and prevention of up to 20 simultaneous attacks per sensor. Wireless coverage can be expanded easily by simply adding additional sensors, up to 210 in total. The series allows enforcement of "no wireless" policies by disabling wireless access.
